eating again

For the last three days Steve has been eating with me, he has cleaned his plate, and even asked for seconds on my salad. God is good, I feel I can breathe a little better each day. I try to keep up the brave front for him, but after watching my first husband pass on from cancer, the old fright returns. Steve is not just my husband he is my best friend, one of Steve's favorite sayings is how many sunsets babe, and of course I answer not enough.

Smiling today

Linda

    Eating Again

Linda that is great news, I am happy for you both. The old saying is a salad a day keeps the doctor away.

    God bless

    Apple...LOL
LOL, I think that is "An Apple a Day, Keeps the Doctor Away.....but I'm sure a salad would work equally as well...

But you being from the "nawleans" area, that might be crawfish boudin, a fried softshell crab po-boy, and some gumbo with fresh slaw on the side...mmmmmm, love seafood.

    LOL, anyways Linda.....

Glad your hubby is starting to have an appetitie again and eating some real food.... I can only imagine it'll continue to progress from now on.

    Best,
    John

    GOOD NEWS
Glad to hear he has made the choice to try and eat, and even better, he had success. I know how much I appreciated my wife in my time of need, and cannot begin to try to immagine what you had been through the first time.

Whatever you are doing, it is working. Keep in mind, my wife told me she can only be there as a support mechanism, but I had to actually "put in the work" when it came to eating again. She was 100% correct, as I am eating just about normal again, but not without having allot of pain, choking on food numerous times, ETC.

You both will come out the other side just fine.

    Best!!

    Great news!!! Now just be
Great news!!! Now just be careful what he eats. My husband continues to eat stuff that hurts his mouth. I don't blame him, he is so tired of soups and mashed taters.

    Salad
But with your poor mouth opening capability, salad is probably a better alternative for you anyways....

BTW, fish are awaiting for you...

Everytime I go out, I hear them saying...."Where's HONDO......"
