Go away cancer!

I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer 7 years ago. I had 3 years of treatment and surgeries and many scares with abnormal scans. I have been struggling with pain from AI's and lupron and just have started to feel somewhat normal again. Now my husband has been diagnosed with stage 4 rectal cancer. I can not believe this is happening to our family again. I feel fortunate to be a survivor of breast cancer but feel completely devastated by this news. We have 3 children who are going through this with us. Just having a hard time trying to encourage my husband right now. He has always been my rock and now he is fighting for his life....just not fair.....any advice?? Thanks Teri

My heart aches for you, your husband and
    children.

Is there a therapist associated with your Oncology group ? Church affiliation??

Keep up the faith, and know so many people are pulling for you and your family.

    Strength, Courage and Hope.

It certainly isn't fair that this is happening to your family. Your husband was a rock for you and now it is your turn to be a rock for him. He can beat this just like you did. Don't give up the fight!

Teri, this is a real blow for the both of you
Just when things get back on track for you--boom. Try to remember the very special things he did for you that made you feel loved, taken care of and not alone. Cancer can be such an isolating disease, even when you are surrounded by people. You've been there, though, so you will know exactly how he feels. Just be there for him and be a good listener.

Hugs and prayers to you and your husband,

    Oh Teri
    I am so very sorry.

    Oh Teri

I am so very sorry. Find as much help as you possibly can - professional, clergy, groups, etc. Know that everyone here is praying or you and sending you all kinds of light and energy.

    Hugs for you both!

    That does give me hope.
    Nancy,
Thanks so much for sharing your story. That definately does give us hope to see that survival from this disease is possible. It makes the treatment feel like it is worth it knowing that you can be a survivor regardless of what the odds are. Thanks and sending prayers to you. Teri
