Clear CT Scan

Hey Everyone!

This isn't a big milestone CT like a 1 year or the BIG 2 year, but I'm excited about it. Got my all clear for my 16 month post-tx CT today and all is good!

Was wondering about some of the others in my same time-range. I see Deb, PamM and Steve(hawk) post, but anyone hear from Micktissue or StevenL lately. Hope they are doing well (in case they're lurkers now).

Thanks for the support over the last 16 months. For those going thru treatments, hang in there!

I'm doing well. Still have major dry mouth, but with water I can eat about anything (ok, no bread). Enjoying life - fishing, hiking, working out, got my energy level back 100%.

Positive thoughts and good mojo going out to those still in treatments!!

Greg

    Each
Each and every day is big. Then to add in the scan results being clean, they are huge. Anytime you get them we all here celebrate for you and with you.

    Congrats!

    Thanks everyone!

I took Glenna's advice. Just got back from celebrating. My 90 year father drove by picked me and said we're going for a beer to celebrate. He even ourdrank me (I had 1 and he had 2). And yes Skif, he still outfishes me too!

And that's the way it should be...LOL, it's the order of the big overall plan in the sky.

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow while I'm out hammering a few flounder, pompano and hopefully a few snapper.

I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU
Greg, I know you told me yesterday, but seeing this again is a great way to close out a great week and ease into a nice weekend.

You have kicked cancers A%$ my friend.

I am holding you to having a cold one or two hopefully in the next week or so to come.

That's fantastic news Greg. So very glad to hear it. 1 year/2 year are just numbers, but a clean scan is a clean scan! I'll bet that beer sure tasted sweet. Cheers.

    Glad You Did the Celebration
Maybe it's not the first clean scan or the one year or the five or ten, but it's CLEAN. Celebration's in order.

Haven't heard about micktissue or StevenL. Last I heard, Mick was busy with new practice and StevenL had dodged potential cancer with his wife - but it's been quite some time it seems.

I'm looking at your profile pic as I type - makes me smile thinking about you two being happy.

    Happy dancing for Greg!
    Greg,

Thanks for sharing the great news! To my mind, EVERY clear scan is a milestone! I had a clean scan at 3 months, and if nothing changes, I'll get my second follow up scan in November at the 18-month point. I'm guessing I won't get a 2-year, if I get a clear 18-month scan. My doctor isn't into ordering a whole lot of scans.

Mouth is dry here, eyes are dry here, nose hairs are ABSENT. (How could I have NOT noticed this till about a week ago?? doh!) I love bread, so I've figured out how to get it down. With butter, so much butter...

StevenL is hanging in there down in Texas. We keep in touch via email. He's back at work superintending bricklaying jobs, spending time at NASCAR races, and enjoying a cold beer on a hot August afternoon.
