Kari, I didn't know if you had started chemo yet or not, so, I wanted to see how you are doing incase you have started already.

If you have started, I am praying that you are doing well on it with no side effects.

    Thank you!! Chemo starts
Thank you!! Chemo starts Monday 8-01-11 which would also be my my sister's (she would have been 51, passed away at 43 from BC) birthday. I'm getting Gemcitibine/Carboplatin and it takes approx. 4 hours to infuse. I'll update after chemo as to how it's going, I'm staying positive and taking it one day at a time.
    Hugs,
    Kari

    17 year survivor
    Kari-
I just wanted to let you know that I learned of a woman in my neck of the woods who is a 17-year Stage IV (yes, Stage IV) survivor. She was married when first diagnosed, the jerk left her, she had a recurrence (became Stage IV), had further treatments, became active in the BC community, met a man whom she married (when she was Stage IV) and lived happily ever after.

May you have a similar story.
