Mother will see her oc today to confirm a stage 3 im thinking. The ec has spread to lymphnodes and up to around the the spot above the collerbone. She is still thinking that the small town oc will take care of this. I have been telling her the severity of this , to witch she has now considered the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville from one of her friends, thank God she'll listen to someone. Im sure her oc will tell her the same . Well , we shall see we will inform ya'll , I may be in for a move .

thanks

Jason

Positive thoughts to you & your mom
Praying that it's a Stage 3 or less. You're in our thoughts as you and your mom travel this journey.

    Local Doc
    Hi Jason,

I am praying for your Mom that it is Stage III or lower and is operable. Just a word from someone who has been there done that with the local doctors. My husband was diagnosed with EC in late May, his GI doctor reffered him to someone in our local health system (suburbs of Philadelphia). I did some research, as you have and realized quickly that we were dealing with a very serious disease. I self reffered myself to the top cancer centers in Philadelphia. After having second and third opinions we chose the University of Pennsylvania. Moral of my story is don't just listen to your local docs, they aren't always that knowlegable about EC. When I asked the GI doc if we should go to a larger cancer center he did say that might be wise. I think that is an understatement. You need docs that see this cancer often, and in most cases that means travelling to where other patients with the same condition are going. The NCI (National Cancer Institute) has a designated list of cancer centers, you can google it pretty easily. It will tell you the major cancer centers in your area and if they are designated.

Again I am praying for you and your family. We can beat EC with the help of brilliant doctors and guidance from a higher power!

    Hugs, Niki

    - stage 4
    Thankyou William ,

I will look at all you have posted very close and will take notes. looks as though you have done your homework and or have gone with a lot here on this chat. THANKYOU . Well my mom's is a stage 4 . I will ask the doc's some of these key quistions , or I should say mother will. I sure feel I should be down there to ask , but i think mother does not to a stent want to know everything. I guess I respect that ? She is going to the Mayo clinic in Jacksonville - the sooner the better. I wanted to say that also the pet scan showed that it has not spread to any organs ! Most of all i like your honesty and will use this for my wisdom here out. God Bless Jason
