    Sonogram
Hello. Ed's sonogram did not show anything new, fluid in the abdomen and cirrhosis of the liver. The sonogram was done because he is complaining of severe pain in the abdomen but it occurs usually after taking Lactulose. He takes that to reduce ammonia levels. He is scheduled for a CT Scan in a couple of weeks to check on the tumors as he had chemoambulization back in March and we need to see if there are any changes. We had insurance changes and changes in medical facilities so that makes it challanging - we will continue with the VA but found that the clinics are grouped by region and our main hospital is very far away. I am looking into the other region which has the main hospital closer to us but the clinic is not as close. A little scary to be changing and Ed's primary already told us to stop changing but we have to do what is better for us. On the positive side of things, Ed continues eating a vegetarian diet and drinking his nutritional shakes. He has good days and not so good days mostly because of the pain in the abdomen. He wants to live so I just push him a little to keep going and he's been doing more around the house, drives around town, and takes care of his new puppy. We try to enjoy every single moment as much as we can. Keep the hope and let's keep praying for everyone here.
