Update on my husband

For those of you that may remember, I had ask alot of questions a couple weeks ago about buccal mucosa cancer. My husband had his surgery this past Thursday. They did dissection of the tumor, skin graft from forarm and thigh, and selected neck dissection. Things went well for the first several hours. On Friday he was found to have a hematoma under the graft site so he had to go back into emergency surgery to try to save the flap. After 4 nights in ICU and two nights on a regular floor....I think he is making steps in the right direction. It's been a long road for him but he is doing good. Thank you to those who answered my questions as it gave me a heads up on all of this stuff. Hopefully he will get to come home at the end of the week.
