Hi everyone, I know at times we have all done the juice or let’s say the juicing thing. Just wondering if anyone is willing to share their recipes for making something good to drink?

My wife makes me Carrots with a green apple in the evening, but the same thing everyday gets old so I need something new to add. I promise not to sell your recipes and become a millionaire. lol

Thanks
Hondo

    Know What you Mean
During the first part of induction chemo for me, I was juicing - but it was always apple and carrot, maybe some cucumber. I chugged the cabbage straight, because I'd read it was best to down cabbage juice the moment it's juiced.

I need to start juicing again. Dr. Mehmet Oz (the "Oprah" and "You: The Owner's Manual" doc with a TV show) has some recipes posted on his site (doctoroz.com). Here's the first one I want to try:

    1 beet

    1 large carrot

    Fresh parsley, to taste

    1 apple

    Directions

Put all ingredients into blender or juicer. Feel free to experiment with ingredient quantities based on your flavor preference. Enjoy!

Beets are supposedly a new health darling - sweet and good for you. Not sure though, how fresh parsley will do for me - I just have a Breville juicer, not one of the "big dogs". For instance, I can't do spinach in my juicer - has to be something "meatier". If you find something good, please share.

    Juicer recipes.
Here are my top ten juice recipes:

    1 peach
    1 apricot
    1 apple
    1 carrot
    -----------

    2 apples
    1 pear
    3 leaves of romaine
    -------------------------

    4 carrots
    2 apple
    2 celery sticks
Small cucumber (I peel mine. I hate cucumber skin)
    Serves 2
    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    1 red bell pepper
    1 large ripe beefsteak tomato
    4oz white cabbage
    1 carrot
    1 celery stick
    --------------------------------------

    1 green apple
    1 pear
    1 cucumber
    1 stick celery
    3 leaves romaine lettuce
    --------------------------------

    1 orange
    1 apple
    1 carrot
    -------------

    1/4 of a baby watermelon
    1/4 honeydew
    1/4 cantaloupe
    --------------------------------------

    1 cup spinach
    1/2 cucumber
    2 stalks celery
    3 carrots
    1 apple
    ------------------------

    1 orange
    1 cucumber
    1 apple
    -----------------

    3 carrots
    1 orange
Tiny piece Ginger (no bigger than the size
    of a quarter)
    ---------------------—-------------------------------

Beet juice is ok, i like it, but if you have never had it, start slow. Like an ounce at a time. I never had any problems, but I have read it can make your mouth numb and or cause vocal paralysis or something??? Trying to think of where I read that.

It's never done anything weird for me. I have mixed mine with carrot, cabbage, tomato, celery, red pepper...like a v-8 juice almost. Have to watch the tomato nowadays tho.
