Question: Does anyone ask their drs office for copies of blood work, & reports?

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone sees their medical oncologist and ask for copies of any blood work or scans that they have taken. I never did when I first had cancer and I've read alot where it says that people should get copies of anything done. I've been asking my onc office to please send me copies of my blood work. Well, the reason I ask for it is so that I can share information with my 2 other docs. It's amazing, if a person doesn't get a copy and share it with their other docs, it just doesn't get shared.

    Yes I get mine
    Yes my oncologists gives me a copy of both my CT results and my CA125 results. I am the sort of person who wants to know what I am up against and always ask questions. So therefore they have given me these reports without me asking. Plus, I have a poor short term memory at the moment so it is so helpful for me to have so I can refer to them when I get home.

    Just ask and I don't see how they can refuse.

    We have a password-protected website when results are posted.
    I can get copies of all of my labs & scans online from the hospital's password-protected website, and all my past records are stored there and accessible to me at any time.

    Absolutely! I have CD of my CT scans as well as my written reports, results of all my blood tests...Everything.

    I receive a copy of every report from my oncologist. Wouldn't be without them. Don't be afraid to keep asking!

    I just ask for the results of some labs and all scans. I do have a copy of my intial biopsy from surgery and it was 10 pages long....val

    Yes copies of everything ...
    Yes copies of everything ... typically as I leave my appt. They are also posted on an on line system.
