Happy Moments..so few and far between

in Ovarian Cancer #1
Mom is doing ok, we got through another chemo (#3). This has been a tough mountian, but she keeps climbing and we are all there with her.

She has gained weight, is getting around the house and that makes me feel good. I know this will never get easier, but I have found acceptance and courage to face things that scare me terribly.

She has a CT scheduled for the end of the month, lets hope for positive news! The ascities is being kept at bay and for that we are grateful. Her doc says that is encouraging in its own right.

My mom is wonderfully funny and she is a marvelous character!!! I wish all of you could know her!! She has raised 5 children on her own and I am so proud of her, so proud to be her daughter.

I just wanted you all to know how things were going, that for right now we are ok in this little burb.

    Your Mom is lucky to have you with her. Hopefully you will get good news after her scan, just enjoy your Mom each day and take care of yourself too.

    Thanks for the post....it brings back memories.....moms are amazing aren't they.....their bravery and fortitude even more so...remember, they get that quality from their daughters...thank God for you!!!!!

    Mom's are the best! Mine has been here from Nj with me in Fl this whole time. I am goin on chemo 6. I will keep yours in my prayers. I am glad she is doin good.

    Hi Anita,

    I too was blessed with a beautiful mother, the best. I lost her back in 2004 to lung cancer at 76, my dad three years before that. I'm not young myself but doing very well as far as things go. Responding to chemo very well so far.

    Your words are so welcome, recalling what it was like having my own mother around. It's great that the chemo is keeping the ascites at bay. It's doing that for me too. I'm about to have my 10th cycle and the cancer marker, CA125 has continually fallen since I've been on this chemo. Hope all goes very well for your mother.

    My thoughts go to her and to you. She's blessed to have you just as much as you're blessed to have her.

    Glad your mum is fighting a good fight, your words ring very true with me , I remember feeling so scared , but have found a little more peace with this battle now, its one hell of a ride , we never know what is round the next corner xxxlizxxx
