My sister Darlene's birthday would have been today, so her children choose today to spread her ashes at her favorite place.

Ii couldn't make the trip so all of us that live at Arizona all let yellow ballons into the air at exactly 8 pm in her memory. Yellow was her favorite color.

My nephew went to her farewell and when he let his ballon go, it went into the river, he said "dog paddle mom", the ballon stated to raise a little. He told her, Mom go on up you can do it, all of a sudden his ballon rose from the river and disappeared into the sky, all was well.

I miss my sister so much but am glad she is not in the pain and misery she had with cancer. she is at peace now and with Jesus and maybe having a family reuion with our parents.

Happy birthday Darlene
Hugs Lynda

    What a sweet story.....
about your nephew coaxing the balloon to rise from the water. It is a beautiful metaphor.

Sad to say it was not
It is so sad but she had a horrible death, my family thought it would never end. The last 2 weeks of her life were very hard for her. The last day was the worst. She is at peace now and I am grateful she is not suffering.
I have lost 2 sisters to cancer and it is hard.
My sister that is still alive, I can image the feelings going through her mind, since 3 out of 4 of us had it

    Love your Faith
    Dear Lynda,

I always find your posts to showcase your faith. I know you, like me, will be reunited one day with family and friends who have gone before us. ( I do hope we can enjoy many more years on this earth though.) Take care of yourself and you are so beautiful in your new photo.

    Love,
    Betty
