Restarted Chemo after vaginal cuff revision

Hello all, Just started on round 2 of chemo yesterday, 2 weeks and 2 days after vaginal cuff revision. The Doc checked his stitches up in there and said they are holding, and the tissue is good and pink. No problems with nausea from the chemo, but I'm still worried about that CA-125 score. Its 202. They are still saying at the cancer center that its because of inflammation, because the vaginal cuff revision has the same affect on your body as a second hysterectomy. I hope and pray they are right.Davinci was 3-28.

Did anyone get sores on the undersides of the breast from carbo/taxol? The Doc said he thought it was ringworm, but during the 2 weeks off from chemo it cleared up and whammo, right after yesterdays infusion it started up again.

Wishing all a wonderful Memorial Day! :)

Debbie

    Glad you are recovering from
Glad you are recovering from surgery and able to get back to chemo - it's strange the things we want at times isn't it.

Yes, inflammation can cause ca125 to rise so don't panic, be patient and watch for trend. It can be a squirrelly number yet we all follow it as though it was an exact indicator.

Hope you are able to relax and enjoy your weekend.

    thanks for the encouraging words
Hi Annie, I wanted to thank you for the post. This site has helped me so much. At first I thought this was an absolute death sentence, but through reading things other people post, I have come to agree, this probably will be a chronic thing, not pleasant, but doable!!!

    Enjoy the Holiday!!
