Yesterday my youngest child (daughter) was married in a beautiful garden ceremony in our back yard. It was put together at lightning speed as my daughter is not into lengthy planning!! It turned out beautiful; she was stunning, he was handsome and I was teary-eyed. My older daughter was a regular 'Martha Stewart' and did most of the decorations and all the flowers herself (yes, real flower bouquet! It was perfect!!

Just wanted to share a bit of joy. I am so happy and grateful that I found the cancer in my breast last year so I could be around to share this once-in-a-lifetime moment with my baby girl. Also glad to be far enough out from chemo to have been able to really participate and enjoy the day.

    Yes at times I think we need to hear off topic good news. The non cancer world is living and moving around us and we need that to break in too, especially when it is good news. When you mentioned how it came together quickly but was beautiful it made me think that perhaps it was meant to be, since it was impromptu and turned out so well. No only was it meant to be but perhaps that it also was mean to be soooo beautiful as well. It may be the sweet balm that your family needed.

    Thanks for sharing. So happy it went so well. Sometimes the less time we have to put something together, the better it turns out. Not enough time to change our minds, second guess decisions, etc. It would be nice to see some pictures . . . . .

    Congrats to you all!! So great to hear happy news. Some of the happiest times we have experienced as a blended family were during wedding planning, and of course the wedding parties.

    age together on the same pillow... lol sounds funny translated.

    I agree, it's good to hear about the survivors out there living it up. It gives
    me more hope.

    I am so glad you were able to fully enjoy. My daughter gave me about 2 months to get her wedding together. We did it and it was fantastic - my favorite part was favor night. My sister and closest friends had wine and were being very creative with the centerpieces and favors.

    She celebrates her 3rd anniversay next month.
