Reggie, Siobhan and I did the Revlon/Entertainment Industry 5K for Women's cancer Saturday morning, May 7th. We had such a wonderful time! Over 45,000 participants~ so encouraging. Halle Berry was there; she has been participating 15 of the last 18 years. She was so beautiful and energetic. Alyson Hannigan ( Willow on Buffy the Vampire Slayer) made Siobhan and me cry...she started to address the crowd and was overcome by emotion: she lost her favorite aunt to ovarian cancer 3 years ago, just about the time Alyson was giving birth to her daughter. Allyson cried over losing her aunt to the damned beast, and was also saddened that her daughter never got to know her. So she had extra reason for walking! We walked at a nice pace~ we finished the course and were in the Coliseum at USC in 57 minutes! YAY~~~~ Love this venue!
I know that our own BellaLuna and Aisling8 were also at this event; with so many participants, I never did see them! VickiSam was signed up to go too; I hear alas, she did not make it. Next year, VickiSam! We will do much better advance planning and all SoCal Kindreds can walk together, ok?!

Half way through the walk, Siobhan said "Chen, did you remember to chant CSN for your sisters?" I never forget any of you, but for good measure I marched and chanted CSN!CSN!CSN! a few mre times!!! :-)

    My damn WBC counts were down .. Again! ugh
    My mind wants to do more with my 'body', then my body can handle. Thank you Sisters in PINK for carrying the Torch for me this year, 2011. I truly appreciate it!

    I plan on dragging KathiM with me next week! LOL Victoria, Chen and Bella -- catch you Survivor's, next year!

    My only saving grace, is that I was able to raise a nice sum of money for Revlon Walk/Run venue on 5/7/11. Hoping to do both next year -- walk and raise money! Cheers to Goals :)
