More News on Kerry.....
I just got off the phone with Kerry's wife Susie. She said she does not expect Kerry to make it thru the night. Last night things were very close to being over but for some reason Susie says Kerry will just not let go. Her and the family have had "the talk" with Kerry and assured him it was OK to let go now... OK to go home to God...but he is still holding on. He has not ate anything for a week now as that ability is gone. They pass water thru his lips and try to keep those moist. He no longer responds or squeezes her hand. Breathing is shallow. She asked that we all pray that he passes with ease and peace. That is what they want for him now.
Kerry's son signed on to the forum (Susie said Kerry said she couldn't...nothin on the son!)...and when he seen what everyone had wrote he said "Mom..oh Mom...Look at this...Look at all these posts...all the wonderful stuff being said about Dad" He was just in awe...as was Susie. He read her what each and every one of you had wrote. She said to tell you all how wonderful you all are and thank you for your kind words,friendship and love shown to Kerry. She quoted the "attitude, attitude, attitude" saying yes...thats her Kerry. He didn't want to see no one giving up!!
Susie held back the tears as best she could but when she spoke of her love for Kerry and almost 46 years of marriage I could feel her pain. My tears fell with hers.

Its for you and your family that I sit here and type what will be the last words spoken to you on this side. Although as your faith and mine are one in the same we will see each other again, we will be among painless, endless beauty with never a worry again. We will celebrate the event that one wonders and worrys about but eventually gets to, to find that on the other side is a place where time is of no value, and peace and serenity is optimum. We may even use the ole splitter, who knows, although someday we both will, although perhaps you before I. Please, save me a seat right beside you, we have a lot of catching up to do, you've been away far to long my friend. Never a face to face meet but quality times over these people here were at their finest. Fun spats back and forth, throwing flirts and quips and VERY TALL TALES to one another just passing time. Wishing I was right there to smell and have a large platter of that bacon you loved so well. and yeah, the attitude. The type of husband, Dad that anyone would pray to have. Im sure the "scary ole woman" as you say was your right arm, someone you could never doubt or ever do wrong to. She seems like an amazing woman and Im sure one that has shrugged her shoulders on your behalf more than a time ot two because of your antics. Soon you will be all new again, what a blessing that will be. I will smile a smile when I know your home, because I know what awaits you as do you and Susie and the rest of your family. A place where you will always remain because of the good reverent person that you tried so hard in here to pretend you weren't although everyone saw through that quickly. To Susie and Son (sorry- didn't catch your name)... My heartfelt prayers are for you this evening as I write this. For peace for you and for Kerry to let go and go peacefully. I always enjoyed reading Kerry's posts- he contributed so much and was such a character!
I'm so sorry this disease is taking your husband/dad. It just isn't right, but know that Kerry touched so many lives of people on this board. I will not forget him.

Susie, sons and family...
prayers that Kerry will pass peacefully so that he can be relieved of his burdens and know the love and light to come. Kerry has always spoken fondly of all of you, there was no doubting he loved and was very proud of his family.
We, his other family of brothers and sisters, have been blessed to have his voice here. His irreverent humor brightened the day for us whenever he posted. He put a smile on our faces with his tall tales and all that talk about his 'scarey old woman'. Whenever he wrote that I could just imagine the love lighting his eyes.
We have only known him a short time in comparison to you but he has left his mark here with each of us who had the great pleasure of walking with him on this part of his journey.
My prayers to you all at this most difficult time and my your hearts be lightened with fond memories of the man we knew as the 'ole coot'.
