Mantle Cell Lymphoma

My husband was just diagnosed with MCL on March 29 2011. He has decided to do a clinical trial at OHSU. His treatments will start This coming Tuesday. April 19th. The drug regimen will consist of Rituxin, Cladribine & Vorinostat. Has anyone here gone through this treatment and how is it working for you? Thank you.

    Chemo
Sorry the only drug I can help you with is Rituxan.Next to the big guns it was quit easy going for me.When compared to Chop it's was a walk in the park.No major side effects and seems to work well for most at beating down the cancer.I will also be at treatment that day doing Treanda/Rituxan.Sending good thoughts your way for easy treatments.Take care,Michele Dx95 FNHL3

    Hi Michele
Thanks for your comment. Hope your doing well. Our insurance company is jacking us around at the moment, so my husband has not even started his treatment. So I guess chop might be whats next if they don't approve the study drugs. He only has about 6 months if he does not receive treatment. Time is running out.So we are supposed to get the ok or not on Monday. So strange how one day your life is normal and literally the next it is turned upside down. Take care and prayers...Tracy

    Upside down
Yes it is just as you said,One day every thing is going smooth and the next its upside down. Stays that way for awhile too. Is R-CVP an option for you. It may not be used in MCL,I really do not know. It is an easier chemo to deal with, but it is still rough. Just a thought. John
