HIGH ANTI OXIDANT DRINKS / JUICES

Has or is anyone buying any type of high Anti Oxidant drinks "off the shelf" at grocery or supplement store?

I have a friend at my gym who is a Monavie distributor and says it is the best. I just don't want to get caught up in any type of high priced "snake oil" stuff.

I am also not real interested in juicing fruits and veggies. I have been drinking Welchs' Concord Grape Juice but the acidity messes with my stomach.

    MonaVie. From what I read
MonaVie. From what I read and heard, I think that stuff is a scam, but that is JMO. I am trying to get away from as much pre-packaged foods as I can I would much rather drink the smoothies and juices that I make fresh vs anything that has been made elsewhere with goodness knows what, and I don't know how its been processed. This way I have more control about what I'm putting in my body. I can tailor what I need nutritionally and there aren't any preservates. Not to mention added sugar.

Sometimes though, I have used Pom pomegranate concentrate or Açai juice in my smoothies.

    Hi Mike

I am into the juicing thing at first I did not like it too much but now I look forward to a good glass of homemade juice.

    Plus...
That MonaVie looks like just another multi level marketing scam, like Amway. JMHO

    Monavie
    Hey Mike,

I too have a friend that "distributes" Monavie and a few friends that get it from her and use it. Everyone seems to agree that the stuff tastes great and some have even reported some benefits from drinking it. Most don't seem to notice anything but their bank account getting lower. There is some attached pressure to become a distributor for the stuff to get yours for free or to make a little money. The ingredients seem like they would offer some benefits but the price is crazy high. Like Hondo and Sweet I make my own with fresh organic fruits and vegetables. If that doesn't really work for you, you might want to just try buying some good quality acai berry juice, blueberry juice or pomegranate juice. Make sure they don't have any sugar added and are just juice. I think the main ingredient in Monavie is the acai berry. I always recommend "Foods That Fight Cancer". It tells you what foods will give you the anti-oxidants needed to prevent a cancer recurrence. Blueberries are at the top and cost a lot less than Monavie. Hope this helps a little.

    Juice Plus
I began selling it after we saw the benefits from my husband taking it. It is 17 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Less sugar than juice because it is dehydrated... no additives or preservatives..you can see the medical studies at the website. www.fourdailyjuiceplus.com
