My wig looks better than my natural hair
I also get a lot of positive comments on how great my hair (wig) looks. My natural hair has been thin for years and never looked as luxurious as the wigs do.

My own hair is about an inch an a half long and it is too cold here to not wear a head covering. The wig is less itchy now that I have a bit of hair on my head and I am thinking that I might just keep my hair short and remain a wig wearer--life is so easy without having to fix my hair! hahaha!

    wigs
My mom takes it one step further. I cut her wig in a really cute short pixi and is the exact color of her natural hair. The look fits her to a T.
I've witnessed people come up to her and comment. "oooh I just love your hair".
Sometimes she'll whip off her wig, hold it out to them and say, "You can have it too!"

Even her onc/gyo up at Mayos whom she sees every 6 months or so asked her....Did you ever loose your hair? Mom pulls it off again and says, "Oh yea, I'm bald as a cue ball."
That's my mom. I sure do love her!

    I hate my wig!!
I wear my wig to work and by the sixth hour I can't stand it any more so I take it off and put on my scarf or hat. It itches me and get too darn hot. Can't wait till I get my own hair, but that is just me..val

LOL! I got the same thing.
LOL! I got the same thing. My wigs are much nicer than my hair, and I love them, but wearing them did get to be a nuisance, especially when my hair started to grow back and I couldn't tape them on anymore. I'm wearing my everyday wig in my pic here.

I have worn a wig virtually
I have worn a wig virtually every single day for the last 15 or 16 months. Almost no one has seen me without it - only my husband, and that is a recent thing, just since my hair started to grow back.

My primary care doctor asked me a couple of months ago, "That's your own hair, right?" I said, "No, but mine is beginning to come back in."

My wigs are all the same style and color, essentially, and match my pre-chemo hair very closely. I'm thinking I might buy just one more, since I expect to be wearing alternative hair for another six months or so.

I tell the newbies, make friends with the wigs early on because it's apt to be a long time before you don't need them.
