Just checking... I know you started your Irinotecan and Erbitux on Tuesday. How are you doing... is it going ok for you?

That is so sweet of you to ask. I think it it went pretty well. I was pretty tired Tuesday + Wednesday but have been feeling better. Tonight I noticed a little acne/rash around my nose area. I am hoping that means the erbitux is working. I was dreading getting the rash but also worried if I didn't. I will call my onc Monday to let her know. How are you doing?

    Tired :)
That's interesting that you were tired right away (Tue/Wed). It seems the "tireds" hit me Fri/Sat. Last night, I went out with friends even though I knew it was a Chemo Fatigue day... but they drove so I figured that would be ok. I did really well. Not my usual energy but still, went to a performance, stayed and socialized afterwards and was home by 11pm. Today, I crashed... definitely a chemo fatigue day, with a few sweats and the runs ;) Of course, the Lomotil is fantastic for keeping the runs under control, so that wasn't really a problem. But I decided to bake an Apple Crisp tonight... so standing and peeling/slicing apples... well, I worked up a good sweat and got tired easily. But, it's payback time... it's about to come out of the oven... so I get a treat of hot Apple Crisp with ice cream :D Heaven!!

Sounds like your rash around your nose area is the result of the erbitux. Hopefully it doesn't get too bad and that your onc can give you something before it does. But obviously the Erbitux is in your system... that has to be a good thing :) And hopefully the Irinotecan is going to work just as hard!
