Good Evening All,

Just wanted to let you all know they have had a change in hubbys plans, they have cancelled chemo and liver stent. They are going to put hubby into surgery Tuesday am.
They feel the tumor is growing to rapidly and in two weeks as planned surgery would not be possible. The head of the Transplant and Liver Surgery Team will be doing his surgery. They have told us we have two options do nothing and finish out what time he has left or try to remove tumor surgically. They have told us that this is going to be a rough one.
To do nothing is giving up and is not an option that he has chosen, as I am scared I respect his decison. Please keep hubby in your prayers this coming week. I will try to keep all of you updated.

Patti

    Will DO!
The very, very best of luck and we'll anxiously await the results.

It's a tough call but I see where your husband is coming from - he wants the chance to live longer even though he's aware of the odds in the O/R.

Tell him I totally respect him and his decision and his courage and bravery when faced with such a life decision. He sounds committed to me - somehow sitting here, I feel that it will be ok, even though it will be tough.

We'll trust in the surgical team and their skills to take care of him and deliver him back to you, Patti:)

    You've got them, Patti!
I'm sending heaps of positive, healing thoughts over to you and your hubby! The fact the medical team is even willing to give this surgery a try is a good sign. It's when they say there are no options, that one has to insist on them. But surgery it is, and surgery your husband has said he wants to go through with... and so he shall! It sounds to me like he has a lot of fight left in him and he will give his all to have a success of this surgery. Medicine has come so far and the talents of surgeons now defy all logic. This is probably going to be hardest on you but don't ever give up hope... and if you need to just talk, rant, vent, wonder out loud (or through the keyboard), you come right back here. We will be here and we will hold your cyber hand the whole time.

    Huggggs to both of you!
