prayers out to Japan! I know we've had some awful weather lately and our share of disasters here - but perhaps we could all offer up positive energy, prayers, for those suffering there.

    midnight
I turned to CNN at midnight (central time) last night, saw it all unfolding. UNBELIEVABLE! It's a real human tragedy and I will indeed hold them in prayer.

    CSN Early Monday Afternoon
I watched one elderly Japanese man search for his daughter who was missing for 2 days. He finally got to the airport where she works and found out that she was alive. He just missed seeing her. He found out that she was not able to leave the airport for 2 days. He then went back to his wife to tell her the good news. The wife said that she was hoping that his face would not be sad when he returned to her. The wife was elated to find out that their daughter was alive. By the way, both he and his wife are now living in their car. Their home is no longer in existence.

That's the other problem of family members trying to find one another. They do not know where to go to find each other as their homes are no longer in existence, not to mention their workplaces. So they travel the streets in the hopes of finding family members.

Then I saw a mother holding and hugging her small child (about 4 years old). She had just found her. That tore me apart. I felt every emotion that the mother felt.

I also saw that The Bank of Tokyo deposited 180 million dollars to a variety of smaller banks in Japan. That impressed me,

And now they have to worry about the reactors, I pray that no more mishaps happens to these people.

It really is a full blown tragedy
Those poor people an earth quake and a tsunami back to back...
it is so much to bare. But I am really amazed about how well
they are holding up. No looting or anything of that nature and
people really help out each other sharing food etc.

And just how brave are the rescue staff?? There were so many
aftershocks but it didn't discourage them to go searching for
    people.

This really worries me... does anyone else think about all the
natural tragedies we have been experiencing and wonder why
we are not more alarmed by them? It saddens me that we are
really ruining this beautiful planet - eyes wide open.

    Hugs,
    Ayse
