I got on my motorcycle yesterday, after a whole year of not riding. It felt great to kind of get back to doing the things I love. And enjoy a day out with friends. I strapped on my hernia girdle and my helmet, off I went...woooohooo...LOL. We rode 120miles from Katy,TX to Brenaham. Stopped at an airstrip, ate lunch and watched the planes do stunts. It was a great day. Kinda forgot everything else. Blessing from Lourdes

    Hi Lourdes,
I was a Katy, TX resident for 20 plus years up until a couple years ago. My husband is an avid rider - I an occasional back seat paasenger. We took the same ride you did several times! Glad you are back on the road, it is a liberating feeling!
    Best,

    Hey Tom
I have a 2001 Suzuki. My husband had it painted and he added new saddlebags, pipes, tip fender covers. He told me it would be ready, when I was ready and he was right. I too have a colostomy and a hernia. My butt did not hurt. I had my colon resection done in April 2009. It was connected at the point of colon meets rectum so for 6-8 months it was uncomfortable. I took my chance yesterday. It was ok. I do have a good gel seat on there. I worry sometimes if I did get hurt, they would have too stop chemo, but hey got to live it up when you can....LOL Look us up on Texas Free Riders. Hope to meet some of you guys out there riding....Blessings from Lourdes

Good for you. If you bike to the falls let me know; I live ~ 1.5 hours away. If you are into wine, the Niagara region is prime wine country.
