Hi all,

I am two years post treatment for my BC recurrence, and I'm doing great, although my stamina & energy levels have not returned completely. I retired from my day-job a year ago & now I work about 25 hours/week at my church. I LOVE it.

My question is about the bone/joint/muscle pain associated with Taxotere & blood level booster meds. What is the over-the-counter antihistimine that helps? I remember many people referring to it, but I can't remember the name, and I want to recommend it to a friend.

Thanks for being there when I needed you!

Fran

    Claritin?
My oncologist and several others recommended Claritin for something, maybe it was for the neuropathy that came from A/C and Taxol? (Chemo-brain- can't remember squat) I used it briefly but it did nothing for me to help the neuropathy, maybe I didn't take it long enough.

    Claritin is what I remember.
Claritin is what I remember. I believe it is supposed to help with the pain, not so much the neuropathy. After 2 years, my feet still tingle from time to time, but it is much better.

    Claritan
Is what many took, I believe for bone, muscle pain after chemo and after a
Neulasta injection....I never took it...I was prescribed pain meds...I don't think personally, it would help you now...claritan is an allergy medication...I would check back with your oncologist for advice...

    Wishing you well

    I took claratin for Neupogin
I took claratin for Neupogin shots (similar to Neulasta). The pharmacist said it's recommended by the manufacturer. And I swear by it, no bone pain for me.
