Hi All,
Just got home from another scan. This one is for the shoulder that had surgery last May. I started having a lot more pain in Dec. but with all that ws going on, I didn't go to the doc till now. He is worried that I may have increased the tear in my labrum. I hope it's just irritated from all the lifting I did for MIL. It never ends...

    Shoulder..
    Hi Lisha,
Boy...I know how that shoulder pain feels, all too well! My shoulder is still not right from my rotator cuff surgery(Nov 09), and won't be until I go in for the forced manipulation procedure to free it up. I was scheduled for surgery last July which got cancelled as soon as we found out I had cancer in June. My ortho doc said my range of motion is at 40%, but with surgery he's sure he can get it to 100%. Well..I'm not ready for any more treatments, surgery,PT, or anything else, so I'm just going to leave it the way it is and deal with the pain..for the time being. I sure hope your MRI doesn't show a tear...that won't be good. Hopefully all you will need is a few PT sessions to get it back in shape. Let us know what you find out. Geez girlfriend...it's time for you to catch a break!!! Hang in there...Love..Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

    I agree
    Hi Sue,
A break would be good, but not to be right now. My fingers are crossed that all I will need is PT. That would put a happy smile on my face. And I sure could use one right about now.
I'll be thinking only super positive thoughts for you tomorrow. I sure wish that you didn't have to wait another week for the results. But you and I seem to do that a lot don't we.. Anyway, I am sure that this scan will bring you the treasured word REMISSION. I do find joy when I hear that another one of us has reached that wonderful point in time. It's now your turn.
Thinking of you now and always..

    My two cents
    Hi Sue,
I forgot to say that when your in remission and feeling so much stronger and healthy, I would recommend that you have the maipulation done. They did that for me along with a few other repairs in May. I was so scared to do, but after it ws done and I started back with PT, it was AMAZING the difference I had in range and pain relief. Of course now I seem to have done something to it again. I was almost at 100% in my range and very little pain.
I am rambling again, so I just want to say that don't wait to long, you will be so glad that you had it done. Really...

    Will be a bit longer...
I do want to get full mobility and range of motion back..eventually, but I need to be fully capable to do the PT which is the key to getting back to 100%. The PT is hard on a good day without having cancer..ya know? I went to PT twice a week and had a full PT routine I had to do here at home... twice a day, every day during the 5 days not going to the therapy clinic. Thanks for reminding me to not give up on getting it done. Could stress from a surgery cause a person to fall out of remission ya think? I'll talk to my oncologist and see what he thinks and maybe he can suggest when is a good time to follow up on this shoulder. Hang in there kiddo... Love,Sue

    Good to know...
Thanks, Lisha and Sue, for the comments about PT. I am considering in going back to PT after my last chemo on Jan 25th. Can't wait to get my body back in shape! I have a very good physical therapist who is also trained in osteopathy and chiropractic and sports medicine. He really is great and also works with patients dealing with neuropathy as well. My hands and feet are really tingling now... but I know I have to be patient because progress is slow.. and I am real tired and sore. Anyway, hope you feel better. Good luck, my dear ladies!
