Craig, i tried to PM you, but i can't seem to remember how to do it!

I got your card, and the perfect Christmas CD you sent. Thank you so much! I didn't have any Christmas music, and now i have the best!

I'm sorry i haven't been posting on here. I felt i needed a serious break. I will try to get by more often since i know so many on here are not on Facebook, where i pretty much live.

I will search the posts for an update on you. if there isn't one on here, tell me, how the heck are you doing?

Many hugs,
Krista

I'm doing just okay at the moment as i'm sick :( Thank you so much for asking. Gail told me i was being asked about here, and i've been meaning to come back to give an update, but so scared i was going to get another horrible shock that someone i cared about had passed away. I've been staying very positive, and only chasing happy; Disneyland every other week, and re-runs of Little Britain on youtube. I think it's helping to keep the cancer away. We'll find out for sure on Wednesday when i get the results of my most recent CT scan. I'm believing it will be all clear, and i'm hoping my doctor will say the letters i've been so longing to hear...NED! I promise i will come back to brag, or depress whichever the case may be. How have you been?

I hope you get what you want on Wednesday, I will be thinking of you. Do you mean you actually go to Disney every week-do you live in FLA or CA (always forget which is land + which is world - crazy Canuck that I am). I am doing okay, but have had a little succession of UTIs, antibiotics, dehydration - no fun. I am seeing my onc tomorrow + will decide whether or not to take a chemo break over Christmas. Take good care + I do think chasing happy is a great strategy for cancer fighting (my non professional opinion).

    UGH! UTI's
Oh, i can sure sympathize! Those are horrible. I'd actually rather deal with what i'm dealing with now, which are horrible bowel issues thanks to eating shrimp. At least i get a break from the misery for about fifteen minutes after each evacuation. UTI's don't give breaks.

Disneyland is in California. I live about an hour from it, and i have a season pass. Growing up here, it truly is the happiest place on Earth for me. Unfortuately i've caught a different strain of cold every time i've gone for the past month! At least i know my immune system is strong since my seventeen year old nephew got it the last time we went, and he's suffering a great deal more than i am. Yeah, i have a cold on top of the poopy curse.

A chemo break sounds like an excellent idea. Do you know if the chemo you're doing is working or not yet? I forget which one you're on. I think my onc wanted me to do Avastin. If anything shows up on these last scans...well, i'm not sure what i'll do.

I will be thinking of you tomorrow, and hoping your onc says it's okay to take a break so you can feel somewhat normal during the Holidays.

    Big hugs,
    Krista

    I LOVE CALIFORNIA!
Our kids loved Universal Studios (they were~12 + 17 when we took them). They loved the ocean + jumping the waves; we spent a lot of time on the beaches. The last day we spent there at Santa Monica Beach my youngest daughter won a Shrek stuffie at one of the games; she was thrilled + it had to be carry on luggage. I think she still has it to this day. I loved going to some of the Shops, like Shabby Chic, we don't have any of Rashell Ashwell's stores here + I am a fan of hers. The weather was fantastic.

I am on folfiri with avastin + so far it has been doing a good job. I will have a scan soon so will know more soon. I am KRAS WILD, so I think if this stops working I will be on erubitux. I hope you feel much better soon, Krista.
