bad biopsy / confused and upset

Well i received my results today and they were not good. Cancer is back...they think they may have remove all of it during the biopsy but not completely sure. They are making arrangements for me to see other doctors.

My head is spinning....I cannot believe this. I'm scared and angry! i dont know if i'm ready for this roller coaster.

Not sure where I should begin. First time surgery only. This time I dont think its going to be that easy.

    Hi Donna, very sorry to hear your biopsy had a bad result. Lets hope the biopsy procedure got it all. Doctors are very cautious about biopsy results, scans, prognosis; so if they said there was a chance they got it all during the biopsy, then I'm for that. If further treatment is indicated, then we're here, and we all know how it feels to be scared and angry.

    I don't know how anyone can be ready for the roller coaster. Most of us just handled it one step at a time and believed in the future. I found my cancer so scary because it took away the future I held in my head about me, and replaced it with something that had no future. This site is full of people who went through a tough time and came out the other side optimistic and maybe even a better person. I believe that about you, too. One step at a time.

    you made it through the first time. you are strong enough to overcome this. have faith that they got it all with the biopsy. Don't borrow trouble for yourself. It made just need surgery again if they didn't get it all with the biopsy. For many all it takes is a very clear removal. Have faith that you fall into that category. It s understandable to be worried and scared and very angry. but try to think positive...and if you can't right now, I will for you! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed. sending you a giant hug...because you really need one and I need to give you one!
    try to begin by breathing...take it one day at a time.

    Believe that they got it all until you hear otherwise. I believe that. You'll know where to begin when it's time. For now, if it helps concentrate on your self-care. Eat good food. Drink clean water. Exercise a bit. Pray. Get good sleep. And stay in touch with all your support. So much experience, knowledge and kindness here on this board. You're never alone.     I pray the biopsy got it all. Think positive & take one day at a time. We are all here for prayer & support. Hang in there.

    No matter what the treatment plan is...you CAN do it!! We have all been there and understand your fear and anger.

    We are all here for you, to calm your fears and answer any questions you have. We're all pretty good at just listening when you need to vent.

    Thank you for all the positve responses.

    I'm better today. I think it was the shock of hearing the word cancer. I'm going to be just fine and pull thru this no matter what. God does not give you more than you can handle.

    I spoke to Julie from doctors office today and all my appointments are setup for Tuesday. They want me to see an oncologist, radiation oncologist and my ENT Specialist.

    Hope all goes well Tuesday and you come through with flying colors. I know it will be tough but you Can do it. God is with you. I will keep you in my prayers.

    I pray at night asking Jesus to hold my hand while walking through the Valley of darkness till I can once again see his light. We are never told why bad things happen to good people but we do know by faith that the trials we go through now will only make us stronger. I had Cancer three times and like Job all I could say was tho he slay me yet will I serve Him. This March I will make my 5 year cancer free and I still find that I hold his hand everyday. Will keep you also in my prayers

    Your kind words have brought me comfort. I aslo find it very comforting to hold God hand. I ask that favor of him everyday. He has given me so much peace.
