I have a friend ( insert husband, daughter, son, neighbor, etc. ) who I will never be able to thank enough. She is simply always there when I need her. She takes me to appts., chemo infusions, and blood testing. She calls just to say "hi" and ask if there is something I could use from the store. She doesn't shy away from discussions about "poo", reminds me that Froot Loops may have fruit in the title, but a more wholesome breakfast might be in order, and says things like "if you need anything, just call" Here's to you, my friend! I will love you forever....... (((HUGS))) Maria

    My friend - Mary
Maria, I have a friend named Mary that has been so wonderful to me. I am 62 years old and we went to high school together. She lives up the street and she is constantly taking me to the doctor, taking me to get the chemo, taking me shopping, and sometimes just taking me for a ride to get out of the house. I have compounded health problems. I had a lung collapse in Dec, 2007 and they found out I have Interstitial Lung Disease. So I am on oxygen. Then in Feb. 2008 I found out my cancer had returned after being cancer free for 17 years. It was very hard with my breathing and then doing the chemo too. But my friend Mary has been right there with me. Always checking to see if I am okay or need anything. She truly is a very good friend.
