So I've been off chemo for about 9 weeks now, I'm guessing.
My arthritis is back in my hands as of last week, it was so nice not feeling those pains in the fingers.
The mosquito's have decided that once again, I am open territory, they never touched me while I was on chemo, after all the swatting, mostly causing pain to myself while killing those pesky critters, gave up and went inside.
Working, working, working, jeez, every night, little back pains, foot pains, from landscaping my yard, didn't have to do all this on chemo!!!!
Just mentioning, chemo, isn't alllllll bad!!!

I have been off chemo since May and within 2 wk off geting off arthritis set in like it never has before. My hands look like big fat *foots*! I've developed a trigger finger in my thumb this week and it just helps to make the hand look that much more ridiculous.Skeeters ate me while on chemo...they love the busted blood vessels in my legs...they are like a beacon to the skeeters saying " Come eat me!"

Since chemo I have lost my appetite. Have lost close to 20 lbs.I had to force myself to eat when taking Xeloda..absolutely necessary, now just not hungry.I have to work on this problem:)

    Hi,
My Mom had been on blood

    Hi,
My Mom had been on blood pressure medicine for years. She had her six weeks of chemo and radiation and after that, she hasn't needed the bp medicine anymore. Isn't that amazing? We were shocked. She has been off of it since the end of June. She had her surgery on July 7th and they monitored her pressure while in the hospital constantly and her pressure was always perfect.
All we can say is it must have been the chemo or radiation that cleared up this problem. We kind of laugh and say with all of the bad that Mom endured with chemo, one positive came from it, lol.

    mostly dead zone
Hell, from chemo/rad my problems with fed/stress hypoglycemia have been gone for 2 years. The arthritis I had from age 6 is also gone for 2 years. Now however, the rest of me is in the mostly dead zone.

    Me, too!!!!
And my (embarassing...I'm over 50) acne cleared. And my sinus headaches...

I DO know that chemo is used for other stuff than cancer...migraine headaches, MS.

    I, too, was mosquito-free during chemo...now, well, I'm a free lunch!

    Hugs, Kathi

    Me too
Well since I lost so much weight, I'm currently down 70 pounds. My diabetes is under great control. I don't have to take my Metformin any longer, and the best part is no more testing my blood sugar twice a day. Just get my A1C checked every other month, just got it checked and it was at 5.6 which is in the normal range. Doc says as long as I keep it under 7 no daily testing or meds daily, just bi-montly A1C. Yay!
