Don't be frightened off by our nay-sayer

There is a person on this board who felt insulted and betrayed when she searched herself on Yahoo and her CSN posts came up, despite the fact that CSN issues a warning on the front page that these posts are open to search engines.

This person is taking it on herself to reply to several (more than just several, really) posts with warnings about how your info will be used against you - not very helpful, to say the least.

Just want you all to know she's been flagged and a message sent to CSN. I don't think new members want that sort of greeting. I also don't know how long it will be before CSN reacts, since it's a holiday weekend...

This sounded a bit interesting, so I decided to try it out. Yep, my username showed up on the first page when I googled my username+"cancer". However, my real name + "cancer" did not. Mind you, I have always been careful not to use my real name here. I tend to be a very trusting soul, but I work in a school where they tell the kids over and over again NOT to use their whole name on the internet no matter what. I figure when they say NOT they mean NOT. But that has never stopped me from posting. And posting. And posting. . . .

    Username
EXACTLY.....who cares !! Any person who can log on can probably do more damage than we really know !!!!

One day at a time...Everyone, just take care of you and your cancer, everything else will fall into place exactly the way it is supposed to be !!
