Heard from Balentine

Good afternoon ladies! I know that some of you corresponded with Balentine regularly over PM. I did as well. After learning that she had removed herself from the site for reasons that frankly disturb me, I was able to contact her by phone and now am in contact with her by email. I asked if she wanted me to give you all an update and she gave me permission to do so. Well, this poor gal had surgery this past Monday to remove her thyroid. Biopsy on nodules on the one side of the thyroid showed no cancer but after surgery in pathology they did find cancer in nodules on the other side. She's recovering from this latest surgery and asks for prayer from all of her friends here. She's also praying that this is the LAST time she hears the word that begins with the "C."
If any of you were on PM with Balentine and want to let me know, I'll give her your names and she will likely share her email so she can be in contact with you again.

    Thank you Beth. I miss her and wondered how she was doing. There was an earlier post asking about her, but, no one had any information. I always loved her scriptures.

    I will pray for her and please tell her that she is missed and is so welcomed here, if she would want to return.

    Beth thats great that you got ahold of her...i just hate hearing that her nodules werent clear and wish she would return to the board cuz she is missed.

    Beth I remember
    when she said she was going to have her thyroid checked as it was around the time I had my thyroid biopsy. I'm sorry her's turned out to have cancer. Mine did not. Please send her our well wishes. I will keep her in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

    I'm so sorry to hear her nodules weren't clean. Hoping she will come back on this board to get the support and encouragement that we would all love to give her.

    I am so sorry that she is gone from here and sorrier to read about her thyroid. I really do miss her Word of the Day. Some spiritual words on here were very comforting. Please tell her I am praying for her.

    I'm really sorry to hear about Lorrie's thyroid. None of us ever want to hear that C word again. I am hoping, however, that this is a new primary thyroid cancer rather than a recurrence of breast cancer. Treatment for thyroid cancer is usually surgery alone (and maybe radiation) and is rarly life threatening. thinking of her.

    I wish she would have never left. So many of us really miss her and her posts. I hope she knows how much we all are praying for her and miss her around here. Thank you for this update Beth, even though it is very sad. Please tell her hi for me.
