I had to stop chemotherapy after one treatment. My immune system went to 0 and I got an infection. I had diarrhea for 10 days. I had an atrial fibrillation attack and had delerium while in the hospital. Now I'm in a rehab center to build back strength and endurance. No more chemo for me! It's not important for me to receive it as I'm in remission and will be taking Arimidex.

For you, it seems, the treatment was worse than the disease!!! I didn't have chemo either, just Femara, and so far so good. You will be, too, after you regain your strength. Prayers that you are back on the road to recovery quickly, and home soon.

Wow. What a horrible reaction(s)! I was wondering if anyone ever had to stop chemo and then what. Those are the definitely some of the side effects listed on my "when to go to the ER" list, so they must happen to others. I too got an infection this cycle, but my white count was not in the danger zone.

Get well quickly so you can start the Arimidex. Hope you tolerate it well.

    Best wishes,
    Suzanne
