Check splitting for our So Cal sisters on Saturday...just a thought!

So, being the Great Believer in Karma that I am, I was just reading my latest issue of Bon Appetit magazine and in a Q&A section, it actually had someone asking how to divide a check at a restaurant with a large party! Sounded a lot like us! :-)

The suggestion? It of course should be put on ONE credit card, and everyone else should just give the cash ( food and tip) to the person leaving the credit card! That person can then deposit the $ and be able to pay when the bank statement arrives! It saves the "you had the chicken salad" "I did't have wine" "Who ordered the side of wings?" discussion! You know your lunch cost about 20 bux which includes tax/tip...give $20.00 to the person who is giving their credit card!

I am more than delighted to be The Person leaving the credit card....just so you know! What are your thoughts, Kindred Spirits?????

    So whoever leaves the credit card gets to be capitalized as The Person? Maybe I'll get there early and then I can be The Greeter.

    Thank you for offering to be The Person. I will make sure to have cash and I will keep track of the dollar amount of the massive amounts of food and drink I consume:)

    I have not thought that we are going to drink at lunch

    That should make it easier for the restaurant to get us checked out and on our way to enjoying anything else we may want to do that day!

    My question is:
    Who is going to be The Photographer? If the rest of us don't get to see at least 100 pictures we will be soooooooooo disappointed! We will all be with you in spirit and I just know there will be a moment of silence to acknowlege all of us thinking about you, wishing we were there too.....

    We here in Eastern time will hve to think about the three hour time difference when we do our "thinking" of you all!

    Well, I imagine each of us will have a camera and take tons of pictures -- some of us are probably faster than others about posting them. I still haven't gotten around to smacking up a picture of me or fill out my profile.

    I'd better go recharge my camera batteries!!

    I have such gooooood intentions ... but transferring photo
    downloading etc is my daughter's thing. Hoping she is at home Saturday afternoon to post pictures, otherwise .. who knows what will come across my screen.! haha

    All ready to meet with the gals, I can hardly stand it! Seriously

    I will have to tell my sister about you guys as she is in Del Mar. She had breast cancer about 10 yrs (?) ago. She had a local recurrence about 4 or 5 yrs ago, but has been doing well on femara since (also had rads after recurrence).

    Please post some pix. I think it is thrilling that you guys are meeting!
