The Onc took me off Arimidex, but the numbness is still there. Pretty much the whole left side of my body, but not my neck, face, arm from the elbow to the hand. Strange. Scary.

    Good luck
And here's hoping it's a temporary side effect from Arimidex that will go away.

    I'll be thinking of you,

Oh Mama G please let us know how your visit with the neurologist goes, personally I found that the farther I got from chemo the less numbness I had although some of it was permanent.

    Injury to your wrist, maybe?
Do you remember, or do you think you injured your wrist, causing a corpal tunnel type of problem? I was pulling on some sacks, and over-used my good side, causing some tendonitis type thing in my thumb and pointer finger, with zaps going past the elbow. Pcp wanted me to have some tests done, but sadly, can't afford it now. My finger and thumb and part of my hand did go numb, but is slowly getting back to normal with splinting.

Here's hoping you will have to just splint. I do know that ai's can make these type of things worse, and I do hope it's not neuropathy.

    I hope the neurologist has news that will help you. Four years ago I saw a neurologist when I was dx with degenerative disc disease. I had 3 vertebra collapse in my neck and they were pressing on my spinal cord causing my brain not to connect with my feet and nerve damage on the left side. It also caused bladder & bowel problems, buttoning and balance issues. Neuropathy is not something to fool around about. It can create all kinds of problems. I'm sure hoping you get some answers. Awful to think Arimidex could be at fault. {{hugs}}

How very sweet to come on and find so many caring people!
I love you all so much! Thank you for caring about me. Well, the neurologist couldn't find anything wrong and wants me to just hang in there for a couple more weeks. If it doesn't go away, slowly but surely, she wants to do an MRI on my brain and spinal cord, near the base of it. She's going along with the arimedex theory and says it may take months to get relief. I asked if it could be a side effect that is permanent and she said,
with the human body anything is possible. YUCK! It's so annoying and tiring. But I have to say it's better than PAIN!!!! So many things could be worse than this. If I have to learn to live with it, I will.... but you all are going to have to put up with my b!tch!n~~~

I was talking to my onc
I was talking to my onc about the PN, it takes a while for the myelin sheaths to repair. he said it could take 1-2 years, however I am thinking that you were not on the med that long and hopefully it will resolve more quickly. Are they going to give you something else to take? prayers.

Well, I'm back to the neurologist tomorrow again
no change, in fact it's gotten worse. I'm thinking she's going to want me to have an MRI on my brain since my ct scan of my body came back clear.
    What is it like?

    MRI 's are just really
MRI 's are just really noisy, they put ear plugs in and can give you a sedative, but its not worse than a cat scan although it takes longer,

Mama G .. go to a safe and happy place in your mind, as
stated above the clicking noise may drive you crazy. Please let us know, how things are going .. we are all concerned. We will be there in the room with you today, so when you get tense - close your eyes and feel our presence, love and prayers.

I've had several MRI's but not a brain one. My breast one was the longest (50 minutes). I'm not claustrophobic though. Wishing you the best.
