Finished radiation early, sweeeettttt !!!

When I first started radiation I originally had 6.5 weeks 33-35 treatments. I went 4 weeks had to stop for 2 weeks due to being seriously burned. I would have finished on 7-21 now because of delay wouldn't finish until 8-10. I wanted to be done by my birthday 7-29. I had my heart set on it. I was so down, started my pity-party. Friday I was pouting to God saying, "I have done so well. I've trusted you, believed you, and had a pretty good attitude. I just wanted to finish before my b'day is that to much to ask. One little simple thing to finish by my b'day now I won't be done until August."
Today saw my dr. he told me that I was doing so well that he had shortened my treatments and that Wed. 7-28 would be my last day. I will finish early. One day before my b'day. God did give me my little simple request.
When I got to my car I cried tears of joy. I have been going thru treatments for 10 months: chemo, surgery, rads, and it will end 1 day before my 45th b'day. This is the best b'day present ever.

As we say down south, yall know I'm havin a blow-out party. Family, friends, food.

I'm going to miss my tech team they were/are great. I'm giving them a thank-you card, and will get a pic with them. I hope I don't cry.

    Thanks ladies
    I'm going today for last treatment and say goodby to my wonderful tech team. Afterwards making a Wal-mart run. We are having a b'day party, end of treatments(10 long months) and an end of summer back to school party all in one this Sat. so we have to get moving. My mil has a pool so it will be in her back yard. The kids will have a good time. I can't wait to get all my family together. We plan on throwing my husband clothes on in the pool and dare him to get mad. Hahahehe his brothers idea.

    Wonderful, great news and
    Wonderful, great news and Happy Birthday. I'm asking God to work out something similar for me and I hope He will. Still have one more chemo treatment and 6 weeks of radiation after that. Enjoy all the celebration, party, gifts, fun, cake and ice cream. I'm finishing up my chemo 4 days before my birthday so I'll be celebrating too.
