You will find a lot of them here
I am stage 3C, grade 3, 3 year survivor. I have been in and out of treatment, but have a good QOL. I am on chemo break at the moment, and looking forward to vaca with my family.

I think the key is keeping yourself armed with info, getting a good gyn/onc in place who will be aggressive, and having a positive attitude of fighting.

Where are you at in your treatment?

    Hope for stage 3
I just had my year anniversary, surgery in May of 09 and chemo started in June of 09, diagnosed with stage 3C. My CA125 started at 900 and is now at 10. I am so thrilled and have much hope for the future. I do know that this disease will probably return, but I can handle that when the time comes. I appreciate every day of good health for now and loving it! I know this is a shock now but as time goes on it will become part of life as you know it and it will be ok. There is so much hope for a quality life, even with this type and stage of cancer.

    Angela, mother of three
My daughter met with her gyn/onc on July 2 to view her CT scan. There are masses everywhere and the Dr.says from his experiance it looks like cancer. If it is cancer the doctor says it is at least level 3. She is having surgery to remove as much as they can on July 8th, Angela's birthday, she will be 38. She has been happily married for 19years, has three beautiful children ages 11, 8, and 2. They just moved into their dream home and Monte, her husband just got his dream job three months ago. They have excellent insurances. Monte's mother is very ill and in last stages of ovarian cancer. She was dinoised just about six months ago. They are in California and the rest of our family is in Texas. We need all the prayers we can get, and we do believe in prayer. Thank you for rsponding and my prayers will includes you also. Thanks again Kathleen.

    41years old
I was diagnosed stage 4 at the age of 41years old. I too just moved into my new house. I have 3 kids. My younger two were five and three at the time of my diagnosis. I was diagnosed Sept. '08. I am currently being treated for a recurrence but battling hard. The thought of leaving my kids motherless is very scary.

Good luck to your daughter and your family!

    kids
My kids are my life. I know that most Moms say that. Outside of childbirth I am never without my kids. I did quit my job as an RN when I was diagnosed. Luckly, I have been feeling great and living a very active life despite fighting a recurrence.

I started seeing a therapist to help me with the anxiety of having a cancer diagnosis. It took a long time to even talk about cancer and kids. I hope your daughter will get the help she needs to be strong in front of her kids.

Please tell her to reach out to me if she wants to talk. My email is in my personal information. I know that I was looking for women with young kids when I was first diagnosed. The type of cancer didn't matter to me. I just needed to feel like I wasn't alone.

    I was diagnosed with stage
I was diagnosed with stage 3c on July 27, 2009 (age 43). I finished my treatments in December and have been cancer free since then. Please tell your daughter she will get through this... there will be days that will be difficult, but with the support and prayers from family and friends she will do it. My son was 6 years old when I was diagnosed and I was so afraid of how it would affect him... I have to say he has done amazingly well through it all.
Prayers to you and your family.
