    HI Maria
This is a really positive move. The only races/walks/runs in the UK are for breast cancer. So a race for Teal is fab. Are you taking part? I wish you all the very best if you are. I am doing a "Race for Life" in the UK in July. This is ALL pink and for breast cancer, however I have a load of teal T Shirts for myself and all of my ladies to wear and we will stick out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Take care Tina xxxx

    Maria....I would so love to
Maria....I would so love to come, but flying non-rev on a holiday weekend is next to impossible. I will check the loads, though. What's the nearest airport to Marcellus?

Is there a web site for the walk/run?

Hi Maria.... I just wanted to tell you that I am soooo excited to be participating in this very important event on Sunday. I am assuming that you probably don't get many messages from men on here but I am here in support of my mom. She bravely lived with ovarian cancer for 5 years until it took her life July 20th, 2009. I remember this time last year she SO much wanted to be at the walk but she was just too ill. But she kept saying "It's ok.... I'll be there next year with bells on my shoes so everyone can hear me coming!". Sadly, she passed away just a couple of weeks later. But that was my mom, a fighter through and through and she honestly believed she would be there this year. My sisters and I know the importance of doing this, in memory of my mom and in support of the many women bravely fighting this disease. A cure is what it's all about! GOD BLESS! and I can't wait for Sunday!

    Hi Phillip
I will see you there... I won't be walking because I'm in the middle of chemo treatments, but I'll be there cheering. My picture is posted here, so find me if you like. May marked 4 years since my diagnosis and I'm in my first recurrance. I hope to walk next year ( with bells on for your Mom and close friends of mine ) who wanted to walk but couldn't.

PS... I'll be the one cheering with bells! Maria

PPS... most of the beautiful people from my oncologists office will be there also!

    another walk
Maris, good luck this weekend and hopefully it will be a successful walk, weather should be great.

Just for information if anyone is interested in visiting the Big Apple and making Brooklyn part of their trip there is also a walk for Ovarian Cancer on September 11th in Prospect Park in Brooklyn.

Information for the walk is at www.tealwalk.org

this will be the second year for this walk. I could not go last year as I had just had my last chemo treatment and did not feel up to it but am going to give it my best short this year.
