Just had a port implanted last Friday. Start chemo next week. Had a lumpectomy. No lymph node involvement. Is anyone where or has been where I'm at? Reading all of the discussions has helped me cope. You are all very couregeous.

I have IDC stage3 HER2, ER and PR and 18/20 positive lymphs, so our cancers are very different. This is an excellant site for love and support. There are TNBC ladies on this site and I'm sure they'll chime in soon. You say we're couregeous, you, also are couregeous. Def overwhelming. Thoughts and prayers for you and ur family.

I am about at the same place and Triple Neg too
I am 38 yrs. I was diagnosed on 4/8/10 with ICD left breast stage I, with NO lymph-node involvement, triple negative too. Grade III (highly aggressive).

I have had my port for two weeks now, I have had one chemo session of AC (adrimycian / cytoxan) one of 4 down, every two weeks I get AC on Thursday's and Friday's I get a shot called Nuelasta.
Then I will get 12 rounds of Taxol or Taxaele sp) how many weeks will depend on how my body tolarates this type.
Then a break and 5 to 7 weeks of daily localized Radiation treatments.

What type of cancer do you have? What is your treatment plan? How old are you? Where do you live?

I hate to Welcome members to this site because we all have cancer, but I do know that this was the best place I have found for support other than my nurses at Baylor and Texas Oncology. I come here several times a day, sometimes I just read, and don't post anything.

If you want ever email me privately, please do so.
Cyber Hugs too you... What day is your chemo scheduled for?

    Plenty of "triple negatives" here
Welcome to the crappy club nobody wants to join...

There are indeed quite a few "triple negative" (what an idiotic term) ladies here, including my own beloved wife Moopy, who is 19 months out from a diagnosis of stage IIIa and completely cancer free. Moopster would be writing this herself except for the fact that she is currently in Tennessee whooping it up with her family.

Here are a couple of TN-related threads you might find interesting and/or somewhat helpful.

Just keep in mind: you can beat TN... and you will!

So glad to here from you and God bless
Thanks so much for response. Don't really know how to work this discussion board. My email is mjprockup@yahoo.com. I live in central Baldwin County, AL. Ever been to Gulf Shores? You passed through my town.
I got my port last Friday (5/28). The onco doc is scheduling chemo to start next week. The doc wants to me do two regimins of chemo b/c I have IDC, Stage 2, grade 3 which is aggressive. After chemo, I'll do radiation. I saw my onco yesterday and driving back to the office, remembered a hundred questions. Like can it evolve from stage 2 once surgically removed and chemo/radiation? He said I have Triple Negative Disease. Scares the pants off me. I'm 58. Did you have lumpectomy? I am BRCA negative, thank God. I am so glad you responded. Sounds like we are on almost the same path.

It is so sweet of you to respond on behalf of your precious wife. It is glorious to read that she is cancer free. Thank you so much.

everyone is different, some tolerate it well some dont, some are in between, but we get through it one way or another. One day at a time one minute at a time. and the point is you will too! Most people do well. I had issues and flabergasted my doc. I threw his statistics off. But many people who post here write more often with issues, so remember that when you read things, because you could have none or just a few of them. try to take it one day a a time, you will get through, the people here will help you ! Many hugs this is a difficult time.
