    Thanks so much!
Your info is so helpful. Steve doesn't have trouble swollowing now, but weight has been a battle. Seems like he just gets going and it time for another treatment and off comes some more weight. He has also been having high sugars, so we are cutting sugar as much as possible. The docs think it from the steroids. I am going to look into the whey and fish oils. I also have considered juicing, but read that this wasn't good for chemo patients. Do you have any comments on this?

How much whey do you use a day?

    You all are wonderful!!

    during chemo my husband lost
during chemo my husband lost 14lbs and we used whey protein in shakes to get his weight back on for surgery, after surgery he is only able to get about 900 calories a day and the rest is with a feeding tube. The last few days the whey milkshakes have been about 600 calories of his 900. His doctor and the nurses told us that this is a good way to at least to sustain his weight.

During his radiation and chemo because of coughing and phloem we added it to soy milk or soy ice cream.
