message from dorion and Meghan
Hello my Darling Ladies, I missed all of you so much. Meghan really wanted to say hello to you Ladies, she is awesome. She has a doctor's appointment today cos she has been complaining of not being able to breath lately, so we need her to be seen. I'll keep you posted.
As for me, please forgive my absense but as our Sister Sharon has mentioned I've been feeling aweful. Went to emergency last Tuesday and they kept me til Sunday. I was so week, I couldn't even hold a converstion cos I couldn't breath, everything was an effort for me, even answering my phone was out of the question. My legs are swollen and then it was the worst thing to go pee since they took the bags off and I pee the regular way now, but it was like peeing razor blades and I couldn't sleep cos I had to run to the bathroom literally every minute, it was simply aweful.
So they drained just over 2 liters of fluid off of my lungs and what a releif that was and it turned out I had/have a uniray tract infection (UTI) and I'm taking antibiotics and I'm feeling so much better. My energy level is great and it's so much easier to breath and going to the bathroom is much better. So I pray that this continues. I'm currently on chemo, just the taxol but the hospital canceled my appointment this past friday cos of the UTI but will go on Friday for my (I think) 5th one which leaves me with one more after that. So let's hope that it will hasten this horrible thing and I can live in some peace for a while.
I hope you guys are doing well, I was so sorry to hear our Saundra isn't feeling too well, at least she is able to go online, I wasn't even able to do that. I love all of you and look forward to hearing from you.

Dorian and Meghan, thank you for posting an update. We were all so worried about you. I'm so glad you are feeling better. It just makes me breathe easier knowing you're coming through this and feeling better! Thank you for your sweet words, Meghan. We all care about each other here, and that includes you! Your mother is a wonderful, brave, sweet woman.

Hi Linda, although you probably don't "know" me I am so glad to see a post from you. I have been following your story on this board. My mom has UPSC which acts and is treated similarly to OVCA. We are very close just like you and Meghan, although my Mama is 57 and I am 33. My mom is also dealing with chemo side effects and a UTI right now, so I can sympathize.
Hang in there, I am so glad you have that bright star of a daughter by your side.

Hello Linda &Megan
I recognise the symptoms you are having fluid on the lungs. Unfortnately it is a side effect of the cancer. I experienced the same thing and ended up having 4 chest drains so I could breathe. Its not the most pleasant procedure is it? However my oncologist told me that the chemo will take care of the fluid and it gets re-absorbed into your body.

Thank you so much for all your replies and your concern, you make me feel so loved and wanted and just give me the warm and fuzzy's all over. As you know, Meghan has been writing now along with me. She really wanted to get involved with you Ladies cos Goodness knows I talk about you guys to her all the time. She read all your messages and she was amazed by how many womem care abou about us an it was her that asked if she could join the club. So lastnight she made her own account and she will be posting. Meghan knows that this place is for support and all about love, she knows to come here and vent or to keep you Ladies updated so that you never have to worry again, she'll be on top of it. As for me I continue to be energetic and strong. Meghan and I took long walk yesterday and looked in shops, had a bit to eat and just hung out for hours. It was absolutely wonderful to finally be able to walk without struggling for air and lifting these legs. I pray that this continues, I need a break from all this for a while. I hope you wrote down my phone number as well, please feel free to call me anytime not even to check up on me, even if you are down, I'm right here. I'll be checking in with you everyday ok? So MUCH good news!! It just makes my heart sing to read that Dorian and Bonnie and Saundra are all back on the good side of their latest frightening battles, out of danger and living with joy again. I will hug the memory of your successes to my heart in the darkest parts of my own future battles, and find hope there.
