Yet again, and an update on ct results

Dad had his ct scan on the 30th. He went yesterday for the results. Well ever since his ct scan he has been having alot of issues with mucus. So yesterday he goes to the Onc dr, his hr was low and so was his bp. He had 3 rounds of chemo and they were going to discuss his next step yesterday but he got sick instead.

so they admitted him to the Hospital. His counts are low which we knew to be expected. He is also on xeloda 2000 mg daily.

They are thinking he has aspiration pnemonia because this was not showing in his ct but then a day in a half later it is showing in a chest xray. His lung is not sounding too good. He is coughing alot of mucus up. They are thinking he may of choked on the Tang from the ct drink stuff.

They are running Antibotics and fluids. I just hope he is home intime for easter.

We have spent every holiday in the hospital so far, so not fun. They are also doing breathing treatments with him too.

But here are his results from his CT.




THEY ARE CLEAR!!! CANCER HAS NOT GREW BACK SO FAR. CHEMO is WORKING!!! AND HIS BACK IS FINE!! ITs JOINT PAIN FROM THE CHEMO WHICH IS NORMAL!!!

WE ARE HAPPY AND ENLIGHTED ABOUT THAT!!!

    Hi Tina,


    I just want to let you know how happy I am that the CT scan showed no growth. As far as the aspiriation pneumonia Al had it several times it your Dad remains fever free for 24 hours and
    his count are normal the will send him home.

    What a great bit of news though---see even though it was april fool's day!

    Sorry about your Dad being in the hospital, hope the congestion clears up fast so he can go home and celebrate the wonderful news of a clear CT scan. You sound so happy and no wonder. Good news is the best medicine for all of us here. We love it. take care, prayers always,

    Hey Tina,
    So great to hear that the ct scan results are good!! Hooray. The antibiotics will clear up his congestion and phnemonia. Shoot,that will be a piece of cake compared to the cancer! Best of luck to all of you. Keep us posted.
