Anyone have testing done through Response Genetics?

Hi,

I've had some genetic testing done in the past, as many of us here on the board have. In Sept. 2009, my onc requested some further tests be done through the Response Genetics Lab. Nothing happened- the onc tried to track it & it came back as if the request had never been made. This has happened twice more & my own attempts to contact Response Genetics haven't worked. The previous testing I had done was also w/ this same Lab, but I heard from someone that they've changed hands. I'm begininning to think the problem might be at UCSD, where my tumor tissue sample is kept- maybe they never sent it out. Just wondering if anyone else has gotten any test results from Response Genetics within the past few months. If so, that would help me know if the hold up is with them or UCSD. One of the tests was to see how I'd respond to gemcitabine, which I'm currently on. It would be nice to know how my genetic testing showed on this drug. My onc just acts like there's nothing he can do about the delay. This is ridiculous!

Thanks for any info on them-
Lisa

    Hi Lisa
I get my Genetics Testing done in a couple weeks, I have no idea why my onc wanted this, but he said it may take a couple hours. I'll let you know if they do the same to me, though I'm not sure if it even be the same lab.

    Hugsss!
