Hi everyone,
I feel that i am finally settled down enough and chris pain is semi-under control enough to write. He went ahead with the double reversal on the 23rd. What was supposed to be a 3 hr surgery was a 7 hr surgery. The take down was a success but chris came close to bleeding out. Even though they stopped his coumadin 5 days before, everything the Dr touch would not stop bleeding. They had to open him from the top of his chest down to his pubic area. They stapled him closed but had to leave the 2 stoma holes open with a wound vac. To worried of infection. So he is still in ICU with a high heart rate, low urine put out and too low oxygen level. So for chris, he says its a success because the bags are gone. For me, i am still worried. The Dr says he is still high risk for internal bleeding and so they are keeping a close eye on him. From what the dr said , chris had a unreal amount of scar tissue and they took out alot more colon on his first or second surgery than he thought. This made his surgery 10xs harder than he had antisapated. But the good news, the blood clot stayed put and he is alive.. Thanks for all your prayers and good thoughts and for always being here for us.. I love you all!!!

Well, it looks like Chris did go ahead with the surgery he wanted so badly and so far it is looking real good. You must have been really scared but you hung in there. Give Chris our best and let him know we are thinking nothing but good, healing thoughts for all of you. May your journey to recovery be uneventful. Wishing you nothing but the best and come back and let us know how things are going. Hugs Tina and George

I am so happy that Chris has had a successful surgery so far. I will continue to pray for his recovery, especially with infection. He doesn't need to face that now! I'm really grateful that the blood clot stayed put. Put on your seatbeat, the recovery ride is just beginning!
