Just heard from my Mom, she is at MD Anderson right now fixing to start her chemo. Her Dr told her that her ovarian cancer is a Stage 3a. The Dr's are very optimistic that she's gonna be ok and that they got it in time. Her surgical incision isn't healing very well, but that's a whole other game there that we will have to dress everyday to get it healed. Anyway's just had to update anyone who might be interested.

Thanks for the report. Make sure she drinks lots of water, lemon helps and takes stool softener or what ever is needed for the constipation most of us gets. Saundra

    Oh, that's truly a blessing.

If you have any questions about the effects of chemo, we'll be glad to give answers.

God bless you and mom again and thank you for the positive news.

I'm so glad to hear that the doctors are feeling good about your mom! Thanks for the update! Just a reminder, during this time that you are caring for your mom, don't forget to take some time for you, as well. (I find that I have to remind my husband about that on a fairly regular basis!)

Just talked to Mom. Her chemo got started late yesterday, at around 4 and she had a reaction to it almost as soon as she got started. I think they gave her something to relax and put her on oxygen, and from what my Dad said she slept through the rest of it, lol. She finally got finished up around 11 last night. Right now she is feeling real good, and I think that after the Dr talked to her yesterday some more she feels even better about things.
