This poor guy has spent 16 years in prison and has Stage IV cc. The witness who claimed to have seen him at the scene admitted not only to lying about this guy, but wasn't even NEAR the store where this happened. Poor guy was dx'd late due to being in prison, etc.

At least he's being released! I hope the govt. will repay him for lost years but I'll bet his money has to go to chemo.

    That sucks for him
He at least had insurance while in the pen. They would have treated him. Now he's getting out and can't draw social security because he hasn't paid into the system and so he won't be able to get medicare. He won't be able to get insurance. Depending on the state he's from he might not be able to get Medicaid. He could probably win a court battle to extend his insurance benefits but that fight would take years. He might get some back pay for serving undue time. That might be as much as 50k a year. So he'll get a check for 800k. For a CRC stage 4 patient, that about 6-8 months worth of chemo and 1 liver resection surgery at most.
