Where is Saundra?
She has not posted for awhile.
Did she leave on a cruise without saying Goodbye?

    Hello dear ladies,

Leesa just informed me that I was missed. I can't believe you guys even noticed I was gone. How humbling it is that you care that much! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was on a long weekend in Las Vegas with a bunch of girlfriends. We get together all over the nation about 3 times a year just to have fun. This time we saw two shows -- we all love Three Dog Night, a '70s band, and are friends with them. So they had two shows and we went. I overdid, of course, and am paying for it, but I've been sleeping hard and catching up. Such really nice girls that I have fun with. Thank you again for caring. I'm in awe and thankful for each one of you!

    Blessings!

    There You Are :-)
    Welcome back Marty,

You can never overdo it. After my cancer diagnosis, I've since gotten my first tattoo (on the back of my neck; not a good place for anyone's first tattoo.) Now they tell me. Ouch!

I've gone skydiving (Will never do that again, but glad I did).

    Speak spanish fluently now.

And am now preparing to go to Australia (want to meet the aborigine people sooo bad).

I ramble...now get your rest; you deserve that too.

    Keep on doing it!!

    Hi Sharon,
funny reading your post..I too went skydiving,(50th birthday present from my kids!!!), and like you, glad I did it, but probably wont do it again!
I also got a tattoo (teal ribbon wrapped around a rose...go figure!!) on my ankle!
4 years ago I had a teal butterfly tattood on my back (2 yrs before ovca dx)..spooky!!
I live in Australia, on the Gold Coast, and you would be so welcome to come visit our beautiful country. I hope you do someday (long flight tho!).
I have visited USA 3 times, and loved what I have seen of your country. A highlight was about 5 yrs ago when my hubby and I hired a couple of Harleys and did route 66, LA, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Yosemite....for 2 weeks ending up in San Francisco. We would
really love to visit again but don't know now if such long trips are possible for me
    any more :(
Anyway...keep on doing/overdoing what u do..that's what keeps us going..
    Take care, Carolyn xx

    Hi Sharon and Carolyn,

You guys inspire me. I want a tattoo now! :-) Look at all the ways your lives have followed similar pasts. That's unreal!

    Tattoos
Funny, My friend Laura, my daughter and my husband had all made a pact to get tattoos in teal during my hospital stay. I get to have a teal ribbon butterfly. Guess I need to wait till after chemo for that though!

    How Cool!
    OMG Carolyn,

I love everything about Australia... I even own a digeridoo! Haven't figured out to master playing it yet (it is definitely an art that I think I must be taught to master). It is such a beautiful piece of art as well and is made out of the agave stem? I believe?

The teal butterfly is a bit deep and the tattoo on the ankle had to hurt!

Lord willing, I would love to make it to your beautiful country (the Gold Coast at that! Wow!)

I think that is why my energy is crazy, because I feel this strong need to do everything I can while I can and I do have to consider that long flight for sure.

I will definitely continue to overdo to a fault. LOL!

Hope to see you and please let's keep in touch!

    Sincerely,

    Sharon

    Hi Marty and Leesa,
    Don't

    Hi Marty and Leesa,

Don't hold me to this but if, if... I get another tattoo, it will definitely be a teal ribbon.

At first, though I was afraid to let him know I did it, right? But when I finally revealed it to him, he looked at me and said "do you like it?" of course I said yes, then he said some-thing that made my heart melt "then I like it too." I was sooo surprised because in all of our 30years of marriage, he's always been super conservative and down on tattoos. LOL! Then after our tender moment he brought me back to earth by saying "Oh my goodness; I married a thug!!! ha,ha. Of course all in fun.

And Leesa, if/when you consider getting one, be sure to ask your oncologist, I think after your chemo, it will probably be all right.

But I just had a horrible thought! I'm thinking because of my skin pigment; I might not be able to get a teal ribbon! AUGGGHHH! Life, go figure. I'm still going to see if that's possible. LOL! Oh well all in a day.

    Take care ladies,

    Sharon

Did your doctors OK the tatts?
I can't even get permission from my Gyn/Onc to have a root canal! I can just imagine his reaction if I asked him about a tattoo!

    Hi Carlene,

My friends tried to convince me to get the tattoo this week before I meet with my chemo doctor. I'm being a good patient though, I told them no..chemo first and the tattoo would be my reward when it was all over with. I'm amazed at how many doctors I now need to see...I have my primary care, my gyn, my gyn/onc and my onc. I'm the one who never needed to see a doctor more than once a year for a checkup, now I've got to navigate this entire health care system! OY!
