Right now there is a blizzard going on, so much snow. A complete white-out. We already had 2 feet of snow from Saturday. Power is going out all over, a mess. I know there are a few sisters in my area, how are you coping. I am watching a lot of TV, kind of ironic, but i am watching the snow storm on TV also, go figure. Should have enough food, but another storm coming Monday. Stay warm and safe.

    WOW!

I hope you are all doing alright out there. Here in northern California we have been having plenty of rain which we need and pales in comparison with a snow storm.

    take care!

Not so bad here in Mid-Michigan...
but we got just enough snow, about 9 inches, to have a snow day! Whooppee!! I shoveled snow last night at 8:30, probably looked like an complete idiot to my neighbors as I moved snow down my driveway by way of our sole streetlamp. Oh well, my after-dark energy may have been a topic of discussion behind my neighbors's closed doors.

    Now, it's just plain cold!

Speaking of cold, has anyone heard about the wind-energy windmills that froze in Minn (I think it was MN). Now there's a whole field of frozen windmills, intended to reduce the effects of global warming, standing still. They were made in CA, but they (acccording to the folks in MN) didn't consult with them about weather conditions. Whether it's fact or fiction about global warming, I still thought that bit of news was a hoot.

    Central Jersey
I'm in Central Jersey and spent WAY too much time watching TV today! My hubby and daughter have been doing the shoveling. The snow is really wet and heavy, so I left it to them! Wondering if school will be closed again tomorrow....I'm guessing yes. There's another storm coming Monday? Starting to remind me of when I lived in upstate NY! Where's my snowmobile when I need it?!

    Same in Toms River!
Yep, here too Meena. This is just unreal! So much snow. My lights just recently flickered and I'm praying the electric doesn't go out! Although I've had the TV on all day and am tired of them interrupting with the snow update. I can do without the TV, but doing without heat will totally STINK! I'm not fortunate enough to have a fireplace so it WILL get cold. I heard there's another one coming on Monday. Spring can't come soon enough! Glad you're warm, safe & well fed, Meena... hope we all stay this way :)

Wishing all you gals in the "blizzard belt" warmth, light and electricity. Central Florida has been unseasonbly cold this winter, but not as cold as the north thank goodness. It is going down into the 30's tonight and that is cold for us. Heat has been on all day.

Keep thinking spring isnt too far off. Stay warm pink sisters.

OH Meena, it's a beautiful MESS! ARRGH. I hate it, even though the snow all flocked on the trees is beautiful, but enough is enough! We only got 8 inches whenyou got over 20 the first time, I thik we have at least 16 inches this time, AT LEAST! Our power was out for 3 hours this evening. luckily I had made a vegetable stew and it was still warm on the stove when the power went out.

    We made it without losing
We made it without losing power ~ YAY! I have to work this morning and am very grateful. It seems my eldest son (being a night owl) went and shoveled me out last night after I went to bed. God, I love my kids!

Homefree until Monday? I hear there's another one coming. UGGGGHHH!

Focusing on the beach with a margarita, Meena :)

    Made it through the storm
Beach and margarita sounds great! Glad I didn't go back to work THIS week. I'm starting next Tuesday and hoping for better weather for the rest of the winter! Luckily we didn't lose power either, but the branches on our pine trees are bent right down the the ground.

We've been watching the news! We have family in Downingtown and West Chester areas as well as in Pittsburgh. We are still digging out from the 51 inches we received in the White Mountains of Arizona (Pinetop-Lakeside) a couple of weeks ago so we can relate! We used to live in Exton many years ago so we know this kind of weather is unbelieveable for you. I actually enjoyed our snow. I'd just had a chemo treatment the day before and had every excuse in the book to just sit and do puzzles and read. We were without electric for about 10 hours and made it quite an adventure. We're hearing that your weather should be clearing out today. Hope you withstand!

    Would you believe....it is
Would you believe....it is snowing in East Texas. We are expecting three to four inches tonight and early morning tomorrow. I know this doesn't compare to what you all are going through in the East, but for us, thi sis highly unusual. Just hope it stays snow and doesn't turn to ice. Good luck up there....we are staying by the fire and drinking our hot toddy....what a life. hugs.
