Hi Kayandok,

I wanted to ask you about Doxil. I responded to another post but I didn't know if you would see it. Please tell me what precautions you take with Doxil. I will be starting my first treatment with Doxil on Monday Jan.4th. I was told not to wear restrictive clothing. I was told it was well tolerated but does cause hand/feet problems. What frequency is your administered? How long are you scheduled to recieve it?

    I will start Doxil on the 6th. I have had 2 doses spread a year apart before and didn't have any side effects so it may not start on the first dose. We'll be going thru and learning together! Saundra

    Thank you Saundra. As I said in my previous post, I find you to be such and inspiration. And you are just so darn nice and supportive to everyone! They haven't told you what frequency you will be getting Doxil? Have you had a MUGGA scan? They said I needed a MUGGA scan prior to starting treatment to check my heart. I will be recv'ng Doxil every 3 weeks. I look forward to comparing notes!

    Schedule
    I'll get it every three weeks. I have not had a MUGGA but had a stress test and ultra sound of the heart. Passed them. It had nothing to do with the doxil, however. They were checking my shortness of breath.
    I have come down with diverticulitis this weekend and started the antibiotics. This may delay my doxit treatment on the 6th. Drats!!! Saundra
