Well tomorrow I start a new (6th time) round of chemo,Irinatecan,
so wish me luck.I'm not as anxious as I thought I would be,
Maybe it's starting to feel normal!!

Talked to my doctor on friday and we talked about what all of you said about
the side effects and drugs you took to alleviate them.

She said she already added some atropine into my premeds along with zofran and decadron.
Zofran really worked for me with folfox so hopefully it will work as well with irinotecan.
She said if zofran did not work,we would save emend as a last resort, because it should be given with steroids for 3-4 days and she knows how much I hate steroids.I have a VERY low tolerance for any kind of stimulant(a cup of coffee keeps me awake for about 20 hours which was great in college, not so much now !)and I never sleep the first night of chemo because of the decadron ( they give me the lowest dose possible)She also said this time she is only giving me half dose 'cause she wants to see how I'll handle it,so I guess I shouldn't worry about it this time.

My friend Marti, got me into playing this game 'FARMVILLE' on FACE BOOK,
it's a silly thing but it's keeping me occupied.
Like the name suggests you build a fake 'farm 'and grow fake'crops' and harvest and sell them.
(I don't know who buys them, you harvest, they disappear, and fake money appears to buy more fake seed)I'm saving to buy a fake house and a fake cow and I need a fake chicken coop so I can sell fake eggs.

anyhoooooo, wish me luck for tomorrow, please say a prayer for me.
GOD BLESS US EVERYONE

Hi, Kate.

Good luck tomorrow! I'll be praying things go very well.

Watch out for Farmville! I'm on Facebook, as well, and my farm is out of control. It sort of runs my life now. *grins* Look me up on there when you have time (real name Gail Keefe).

*hugs*
Gail

Zofran did crap for me with Irinotecan, good luck with it, wow, I thought the chemo was gonna kill me on my first treatment, I was so sick, no puking, but I couldn't move, eat or drink, the nausea was overwhelming, but felt better once unhooked, I was able to eat alittle toast and saltines. They did start me on Emend the next treatment, and it's been great ever since, I'm on my 16th treatment I think, and now when I get disconnect from the pump, I don't even get too tired to do anything anymore, I actually run around the next day doing chores and cooking and all, I think my body got used to it!

I wish you luck with your treatments! they are taking the Irinotecan after 3 more treatments, giving the body a break from it every other week, and keeping me on the Avastin and 5fu every 3 weeks, which will be better for me, since it's stabilizing the disease.

I am also on Farmville and Do play Farkle as well! Look me up under Donna Gorslene :)
I love that game LOL... keeps me busy as well ;)

Hugsss!
