Last night I kind of felt run down. You guys know what I'm talking about. So I went to bed early and started watching TV. Then after a little while my 12 year old daughter come a lays down with me. We start talking. Then my 4 year old son comes in to see what is up and kind of starts a pillow fight. Soon I have my 15 year old son barging into the room with his pillow in hand ready for a fight. For the next ten minuets we all have a pillow fight and all fall on the bed laughing. The moment was the best ever!!! Makes me happy to be alive. Yeah, moments like this help keep the spirits up and give a good reminder of why it's important to keep fighting.

    Great Idea.......
My grandkids were visiting and Taylor the 10 year old decides to get in bed with me, because 9 times our of 10, she sneaks into my room, well Kaiden 4, and Rylee 3, decide they want in too, so up they come; we are laying there and I am singing to them, when little Blakie 2, wants in too, so I grab him and put him next to me. They all of course want to lay next to me, which is impossible......Papa walks in to go to bed and they look at him, point to the end of the bed and tell him, there's room for you down there Papa!...... Great momment. Papa jumps in and we all take time to tickle, tickle.

My husband and two sons and
My husband and two sons and I are trying to catch up on all the TV seasons of Lost. I am usually lying done on the couch. My 12 year old massages my feet and my 14 year old and husband are peeling pomegranates for everyone. For me this is a nice evening.

    You know...
Ever since I been diagnosed, my bedroom has become like the party room. I have a king-sized bed, and my kids still bring in their board games, watch TV with me in there, we have snacks and drinks, and card games, especially when I'm wore out from the chemo, I am never too tired to just sit up and throw some pillows against the headboard so we can all fit on the bed and play, and honestly, I have 2 kids a night sleeping with me all the time, taking turns, since daddy likes to stay in another room (he is a massive snorer, and is very, very loud, you can hear him from one end of the house to another, and keeps us awake, so he has to sleep in a different room from us)so this is usually why I also have kids in my bed, and I don't mind, I love waking up snuggling against them. I know it's weird LOL....but, we don't care where anyone sleeps, as long as they're sleeping well!

    Hugssss!

    Those are so neat!
I don't have anything like that to share. We're doing lots of fun stuff and I'm keeping busy but no pillow fights, tickle me times, etc. :o)

    I'm jealous!
I don't have any little kids around. I miss having little ones, sort of. I gotta say tho - since I started chemo we pretty much moved into the bedroom and haven't moved out, and anyone that visits ends up up here. It's a shame tho, cause I have a pretty nice place downstairs!

    my son
My son was chosen from a short essay to participate in "a day of character" he had to describe the person who reflects strong character traits he admires. He wrote that he admires his dad for going through chemotherapy and working and still making it to his soccer games. I was blown away. Tears ran down my face. It was special

    Mine's there
Mine is kind of long, so it's on my expressions page. It's "A Snowy Day." It's about a special time with my 2 grandsons. I used this story to end my survivor speech when I was the speaker at the Relay for Life kickoff last year.

    *hugs*

    Here's a cute one....
Our 3 year old grandaughter knows that Papa is "sick." She loves to come visit to cheer him up & always brings wonderful pictures for our fridge. I was still getting ready one morning when they came over. I had layed out my clothes on the bed and she noticed my long sleeved t-shirt that had bead type print on the front.

Aspen: Oh Nana, I like your shirt
    Nana: Look, it says L O V E
Aspen: did Papa make that for you?
Nana: oooohhh... no, honey....But he would if he could!
    Aspen: I love Papa...

Such a sweet little girl. She is wise to what is going on and just wants to love on Papa. It's so nice to enjoy the little ones. They are so sweet & innocent.
