Well, Everyone,

I go in for pre-operative stuff today.
Then Prep tomorrow and surgery on early Friday morning.

To everyone here who somehow made things easier for me just by being here with your support, humor (especially the bag stories Brooks--we'll see if I have to have one, I love sailing and asparagus), hugs and prayers, a big hug and thank you!

Blessings,
Amy

    Good luck!
We'll be thinking about you. Piece of cake, nothing but a thing! At least that's what you'll be saying around 6-8 weeks from now. Focus on the goal(win & thrive) and you'll be ok!

P.S - If you're prep'n with Miralax, try Minute Maid lemonade. You'll be able to drink it like a champ!

    Good Luck
Will keep you in my prayers as you undergo surgery. It will be done before you know it and as others have said, good drugs to keep the pain under control:) I had an epidural that didn't work at first, went back down to the OR and had it replaced, it then worked like a charm! You'll be fine, your a New Englander, and we are made of strong stock!

    Bless your heart
    Dear Amy,

Lifting you in prayer. The humor does help...we have to laugh at some of our situations, it takes some of the fear away. I don't know of many people aside from us colon cancer buddies that can talk so frankly about body functions (ha). Please keep us posted when you are up to it. Remember rest, walk, rest, walk, water, walk etc.

    God Bless You,

    Debbie (gramma)

Keep the Faith in all that you know
    Hi Amy,
I just wanted to say you are in great hands. Keep the faith in what you know to be true. Have blind faith in what you believe to be true and things will move forward. Life has handed you the great gift of art. I have seen your beautiful work just on this site. Lay that gift down and use the energy towards your healing, use it to fight every step of the way, find the beautiful in everyday. There will be times you struggle without a doubt, I believe most artist have struggled. By the looks of your art you are doing great. Just believe!!!!! This board is a second home and let it fly as they say. They have the answers when you think you don't. Some of your comments have stated you thought until you read and then you didn't need to ask. So ask anyway, there are several sides to every story one may be a little easier than the next for your body to take. God Bless and I will be thinking of you. 11 years Stage IV Cancer Free Make it a Great Day!!!

    AMY..........
Got the vent fan on ?.............Kiddin' just trying to lighten the mood a little...Today is the roughest one of the 2 , tomorrow evening all will be done and its lala land for a while. Be good and try to enjoy the rest that will be necessary to recoup. Allow yourself plenty of healing time and above all don't worry. The progress is underway. One step at a time....Love and Hugs, Buzzard
